There's nothing like seeing a listing at Amazon.com to make my writer's heart flutter.

And I just had a great idea. I think I'll talk to the editor at Our Town. I write a column for the magazine, as well as an occasional feature. I'm thinking an interview about a new book featuring a ton of talented baby boomers would be a good fit for this magazine. Especially if one of the boomers happened to be his very own columnist!

I have a feeling he'll go for it. Meanwhile, I'll be checking the mail for my Silver Boomers copy. The essay was prompted by my oldest child's thirteenth birthday, now fourteen months ago. I think back to how I felt when she turned thirteen, and now that she's fourteen and firmly ensconced in adolescence, my only wish is that I could apologize to my own mother. But she's passed on, so this venue will have to do. Hopefully, the thoughts are now in the ether and will find her.

You can find me at www.audreyrlwyatt.com, should you wish to get in touch or read more of my work.

Hi folks . . .

I am Carly - you will see my work in the upcoming Silver Boomers Anthology.

I'll look forward to seeing it myself.

Thanks to the publishers/editors for having me.

Welcome to Blogger, Boomers!

I'm proud to be among the Silver Boomers anthology poets, and excited to see y'all here on Blogger--the server hosting The New Verse News, the online journal of progressive poltical poetry on current events and topical issues.
